Pet documents to check before buying abroad
Documents are not interchangeable. A vaccination record does not automatically mean the animal is ready for international transport.
- Microchip number and date.
- Vaccination record, especially rabies timing where relevant.
- Veterinary health certificate if required for the route.
- Seller contract and ownership transfer terms.
- Courier or handover confirmation.
